Hello Everyone,
As you may have guessed the Easter Egg Hunt we traditionally hold in Commons #3 is a prohibited gathering under the current COVID 19 Stay at Home Order. But not to fear. After much discussion with the Easter Bunny, we have come up with an alternate plan.
As you know the Easter Bunny and his helpers Christie and Jonathan Swift spend the morning hiding hundreds of eggs in the common and along the path among the trees. We can’t do that this year for two reasons: (1) the gathering would violate the order and (2) it would involve too much handling of the treats. Soooo……
If each family interested in participating had a special bunny helper this is how it could work:
At 11 O’clock on Saturday, April 5th. the Easter Bunny will begin to make his way through the neighborhood in his Red Montana Cruiser. He’ll sit at the back gate and greet the children waiting on their porches from the street. He will wave hello, hop 3 times and send the children into their own safe backyards where their personal bunny helper has hidden treats handled only by the family.
I know this may complicate an activity that previously you could just attend, but with life so different right now I hated the idea of canceling this family-friendly activity altogether. You can hide any type of treat that you can find in your own house or add plastic eggs and candy to this week’s safe shopping list. Just think, every child could find the Golden Egg this year.
